Job Description

Sales PalnningTo analyze market trend data (e.g. sales achievement, brand performance, customer feedback, competitor performance) to track company s performance and market penetrationTo develop zonal level sales strategies aligned to the overall divisional strategyTo set sales targets and prepare sales budget in liaison with Marketing team and Area Sales Managers for the specified zoneTo prepare monthly and quarterly zonal sales forecasts based on the set targets and participate in the determination of market potentialImplementation of Sales PlanTo implement the company s sales policies and promotional plans to achieve the sales and market share targets with the help of State Sales Managers and/or Area Sales ManagersTo confer with immediate supervisor and the marketing team in the development of marketing policy, recommending product, product line revisions and communicating competitive price movementsTo work closely with immediate supervisor in activities such as sales promotion, training or market research and in planning/executing special campaignsTo provide guidance on preparation of plans to the subordinatesTo track/monitor their progress to ensure adherence to the targetsTo identify and assess the market potential, deployment requirements and drive key profit indicatorsTo control costs through field expense management for the specified zoneSupply Chain ManagementTo ensure timely availability of medicines to distributors and stockists in accord with the demand, handle situations like breakage or expiriesTomanage the collections and inventory levels with the help of supply chain co-ordinatorCustomer Relationship ManagementTo maintain contact with key customers/major accounts within the assigned region to gauge customer need, satisfaction and expectation and gain market intelligence on competitor product and own standing; To ensure return on investment made on key customers as per set targetsTeam Building and DevelopmentTo manage cross-functional collaboration of Sales team with other teams like Marketing, Medical, Human Resource Management, Accounts, Supply Chain, etc.To identify Training needs of Sales team and ensuring development of their Competencies like Leadership skills, Communication skills, Personality DevelopmentTo motivate the team and Coach the subordinates to achieve knowledge and career growthTo inculcate BI culture in the team and to develop company values in the team improving employee engagement and alignment of objectivesTo manage the performance of the team set annual performance goals, monitor performance and provide constructive feedback to improve performance,
