Job Description

Roles and ResponsibilitiesTake overall responsibility for the strategic sourcing management goals of the company and implement action items to ensure that those goals are achieved.

  • Responsible for negotiations for the best possible cost service guarantee and develop win-win strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with overseas suppliers.
  • To network with vendors (trade show visits, supplier meetings etc.)
  • To pro-actively look as well as pass on ideas for new innovative features & to build up a strategy for effective implementation.
  • Develop and implement sourcing and supplier selection strategy domestically and internationally.
  • To align the requirement with forecast demand.
  • To look for suitable alternate sources irrespective of components - mainly for PCBA, Motor & Sub Pump, metal components, new products, locally as well as from overseas countries considering the demand & supply situation for the lowest possible total cost.
  • Co-ordination with R & D Lab team for sample development, follow up with sources, validation & record all reports till implementation.
  • To constantly track results in terms of issues with suppliers and restart assessment (Continuous cycle) in co-ordination with the Purchase team.
  • Analyse data W.R.T. Lot rejection and inform supplier for correction, corrective and preventive action on a real-time basis.
  • Ensure that in the new supply we get all relevant reports and standards and understand the subject in totality.
  • To evaluate enough understanding of all manufacturing process, machines, materials, & new vendor.
  • Evaluate supplier for his cost, delivery, technical capability, ability to expand, financial constraints.
  • Co-ordination with subsidiaries companies and understand various certification requirements & develop all material, parts accordingly
  • Part supplies for Mass production lots stabilization and handover to materials team.
Desired Candidate Profile
  • Engineer with 12 -15 years experience. The candidate should have sound vendor development experience, SAP Knowledge is mandatory.
