Job Description

DescriptionAbout Apttus: Apttus is a pioneer in Quote to Cash domain, providing SaaS - based solutions with different product suites, such as CPQ, Digital Commerce, Contract, Revenue & Renewal Management. Our products are native to Salesforce.Job Responsibilities:

  • Produce quality, relevant documentation, including conceptual overviews, use cases, objective - based tasks, best practices, APIs, reference material, and release notes.
  • Create content for developers, administrators, business users, casual users, and for internal Apttus audiences.
  • Collaborate effectively with teams across the company, such as Product Management, Release Management, Developers, QA, Professional Services, Sales Engineering, and Tech Support. Translate verbal and written technical requirements from these stakeholders into documentation.
  • Assist engineers, UX designers, and others in drafting user - facing content, such as UI text and error messages.
  • Work effectively with colleagues around the globe.
  • Produce output in multiple formats, including PDF, Word, and HTML.
  • Independently and efficiently acquire deep, comprehensive expertise in specified areas of the product and an excellent working knowledge of the entire product line. Serve as an SME for colleagues across the company and its ecosystem.
  • Assist team colleagues with peer reviews and subject matter expertise.
  • Test the procedures that are being documented.
  • Learn and follow department procedures for writing, editing, and publishing documentation.
  • Serve as project lead (lead writer), coordinating the efforts of one or more writers on a specific documentation project or product area.
Job Requirement:
  • 4+ years experience writing software documentation in an Agile environment
  • Knowledge and experience with industry - standard tools for content creation, management, and publishing, including XML editors and content management applications, DITA
  • Experience with Confluence and its administrative activities (such as reports, macros, content publishing)
  • Strong commitment to Technical Writing as a career, with experience in professional organizations such as STC or equivalent
  • Familiarity with the concepts and practice of structured writing, single - sourcing, and minimalist writing
  • Impeccable written and verbal English skills
  • Experience documenting APIs, SDKs, and other development - driven sources
  • Sound investigative skills, with the ability to understand the audiences needs and provide the information most important to them
  • Experience documenting SaaS products
  • Desirable: Experience documenting CRM products
