• Work Shift: 5 days (Mon-Fri)

ESSENTIAL & PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• DEVELOPER:

1. Interpreting client specifications and identifying website user requirements
2. Website architecture, designing, building and maintaining
3. Creating timeframes and work schedules to meet deadlines
4. Using scripting or authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools, applications, and digital media
5. Conferring with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritise needs, develop content criteria, or choose solutions
6. Directing or performing Website updates
7. Generating Themes & plugins
8. Developing or validating test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types
9. Editing, writing, or designing Website content, and directing team members who produce content
10. Back up files from Web sites to local directories for recovery
11. Identifying problems uncovered by customer feedback and testing, and correcting or referring problems to appropriate personnel for correction
12. Evaluating code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems
13. Communicating effectively with clients and teams
14. Updating records and writing reports
15. Debugging websites and ensuring software documentation is updated
16. Conducting research and keeping abreast of social media marketing trends and work with internal and external teams to ensure we are maximising SEO and our search rankings remain high

• DESIGNER:

1. Conceptualising creative ideas with clients
2. Testing and improving the design of the website
3. Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices
4. Maintaining the appearance of websites by enforcing content standards
5. Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients
6. Working with different content management systems
7. Communicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes
8. Incorporating functionalities and features into websites
9. Work with clients and project managers to build and refine graphic designs for websites
10. Convert raw images and layouts from a graphic designer into CSS/XHTML themes
11. Determine appropriate architecture, and other technical solutions, and make relevant recommendations to clients
12. Develop and maintain robust Web style guides for all our consumer- and business-facing products
13. Provide thought-leadership on Web design best practices and next-generation digital trends
14. Create high-fidelity mock-ups for vetting and user testing, and finished .psd files for development
15. Assist in the development of a new brand and how to convey it cohesively across our multiple Web properties
16. Create site layout/user interface by using standard HTML / CSS / PHP / JAVA practices

EXPERTISE REQUIRED / DESIRED SKILL SETS:

• Solid knowledge and experience in programming and designing
• Client communication & Coordination
• Excellent English communication
• Able to develop ideas and processes and clearly express them & solve complex problems
• Content management systems experience
• Experience with wireframe and diagnostic tools
• Solid knowledge and experience in WordPress, WooCommerce and BigCommerce Platforms including structure, plugins, functionality themes and migrations
• Solid coding skill set using HTML5, CSS3, WordPress, PHP, MySQL, jQuery and JavaScript while following web design and SEO best practices
• Experience with Site Builders including Visual Composer
• Expertise in performing quality assurance on the developed websites
• Coding and animations
• Building using responsive frameworks such as Foundation and Bootstrap alongside custom media queries
• Strong understanding of cross-browser issues and workarounds
• Experience using / customising popular online APIs such as Google Maps
• MERN stack knowledge
• Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN
• Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug
• Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, XD and other visual design tools
