    • Understand the exiting processes/practices and advantages/scope of improvements in multiple functions of R&D.
    • Propose the changes to maximize the efficiency and minimize the waste (time/resources etc.) w/o compromising the industry/Baxter standards.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for alignment on changes proposed.
    • Prepare, track and Analyze trend of the KPIs from each function (formulation development, analytical development, Characterization, Product Quality, Stores etc.) and drive change management for improvements.
    • Identify current bottlenecks of R&D and create the mechanism to calculate capacities of the Labs based on actual scenario.
    • Assess gap between product development, technology transfer and commercialization of product. If gap identified work on the different scenarios to debottleneck the areas and summarize capacity debottlenecking glide path.
    • Provide support to R&D for Product robustness (Process Capability enhancement by DFSS methodology)
    • Work closely with mfg. op ex team to identify potential issues early on during the product/process development.
    • Do IPA (Identify, Prioritize, Assign) activity for the projects.
    • Train and coach the R&D colleagues. Help them in identifying the 6S projects; help them execute to successful completion.
    • Conduct tollgates and track project progress. Keep a track of project savings.
    • Escalation of the burning issue to higher TIER.
    • Drive cost saving project for low cost product.
    • Do the VSM and establish Lead-time of the processes. Trigger the projects to reduce the LEAD-time to match TAKT rate.
    • Do BPS/PPS/GB/BB/ Lean Training and coaching of cross functional team
    • Work closely with manufacturing, other R&D facilities and Global customer to meet the product launch on time.
    • Support TPM implementation, drive 6s, Problem solving etc. kaizen events in the plant, and implement industry best practices for various functions.
