This position is for a Software Developer to join team in developing cutting edge applications. Candidates must be creative, highly motivated, and have a passion for solving complex, technical problems. This position requires that candidates have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and can work closely with remote team members.Responsibilities: Define and build large- scale, distributed platform servicesReviews technical work of other team members, ensuring adherence to IT standards.Lead a team of engineers and work to keep the team effective while acting as a lead engineer.Drive product design and architecture. Work with product managers and other tech leads to define goals and product strategy for the team.Hire and mentor great engineers and create a cohesive high- performing team.Assists in resource assignment decisions, based on familiarity with staff skills, goals and project requirements.Participates in strategic technology planning for the department, including evaluating current trends and adopting those which are appropriate, sustainable and scalable.Participates in coaching and employee skills assessment and development. Minimum Qualifications & Skills: Battle scars from building reliable web- scale systemsPassion for building products used by millions worldwide and for leading rockstar engineering teams.BS/ MS or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience from top tier school. Complete command of CS fundamentals including algorithm design, data structures, and system design, is a must.5 years of software development experience with 2 years of leadership experience.Ninja- grade coding skills - - Any of Ruby, Javascript, Actionscript, Scala, or Java/ C / C#/ Objective C a Plus.Inspirational personality and the ability to quickly form strong interpersonal bonds.Experience working in small teams and delivering quickly and continuously.,
