Job Description

As a Network Automation Developer/Engineer at our company, you will be a crucial member of the STAR team, responsible for automating complex network operations to enhance the reliability and efficiency of our infrastructure and services. Your primary focus will be utilizing your expertise in Python and Ansible to streamline network automation processes while ensuring the seamless functioning of our network devices.**Responsibilities:**- **Automation Development and Integration:** You will be tasked with writing, deploying, and maintaining software using Python within specified automation frameworks, such as Ansible, to automate the complete network device lifecycle. This includes integration with network infrastructure, standardized configuration management, continuous auditing, data collection, and developing tools for automated incident response.- **Integration and Test:** Independently integrate with lab and production environments to test new and existing automation scripts, playbooks, and modules, ensuring reliability, scalability, and adherence to production standards.- **Technical Documentation:** Your role will also involve creating and maintaining detailed documentation covering deployed automation solutions, development methods, integration points, and operational procedures.- **STAR Project Support:** Provide direct support for STAR projects by addressing work tickets and offering expert assistance for our Ansible Automation Platform environment.**Required Qualifications and Skills:**- 7 years of industry experience- **Ansible Development:** 3 years of strong expertise in Ansible development, including hands-on experience with Ansible Core, Ansible AWX, or RedHat Ansible Automation Platform.- **Python Experience:** Minimum of 3 years of experience focused on Python development in a production environment.- **Networking Expertise:** Solid familiarity with fundamental networking concepts, including Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols, and various routing protocols.- **Mission Critical Network Management Experience:** Proven hands-on experience managing and configuring complex network routers and switches from major vendors.- **Toolset Proficiency & Application:** Ability to rapidly learn and utilize network development SDKs and tools to interact with and manage network infrastructure effectively.**Preferred Qualifications:**- Experience with cloud-native infrastructure and platforms such as Google Compute Engine, AWS, Azure, Salesforce.- Prior experience with OSS platforms, like NetCracker, would be advantageous.- Data processing experience and familiarity with dashboard and BI software are desirable skills.This job offers you the opportunity to apply your expertise in network automation and development within a dynamic and collaborative team environment, contributing to the enhancement of our network infrastructure and services.
