Job Description

    Role Overview:As an AVP Financial Accounting based in Bengaluru, you will be a key finance professional responsible for leading the Financial Accounting function, overseeing books closure, site reporting, and financial controls for the region and its legal entities. Your expertise in IFRS, controllership background in banking or financial services, and ability to manage both day-to-day operations and transformation projects will be crucial for this role.Key Responsibilities:- Own end-to-end month-end books closure per IFRS across legal entities in the region- Lead Site Reporting encompassing IFRS, FINREP, GSIB, Regulatory, MI, and Manual Returns within strict reporting deadlines- Establish and maintain a robust quality control framework for all financial outputs and controls- Collaborate with regional and in-country finance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting- Drive governance on exceptions, manage escalations, and engage cross-functional stakeholders- Maintain and update risk and control documentation including RCAs, BIAs, PLAs, SOPs, and BC plans- Lead and execute process improvement, automation, and transformation initiatives- Manage, mentor, and develop a mid-size specialist team, focusing on performance, engagement, and cross-trainingQualification Required:- CA / CPA / ACCA / MBA / ICWAITechnical Must-Haves:- Strong, hands-on knowledge of IFRS and month-end close processes- Previous experience in Site Reporting (FINREP / GSIB / Regulatory / MI)- Controllership experience in Banking or Financial Services (Commercial / Global Banking preferred)- Familiarity with US GAAP / HIGAAP is an added advantage- Systems: Working knowledge of FTP / HUB / Fusion; familiarity with MS Access / SAS is beneficialAdditional Details of the Company:If you are a strong communicator, stakeholder influencer, and change champion with cross-border working experience, and possess the mentioned qualifications and experience, you are encouraged to apply for this role.
