Data Scientist - Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning

Role Overview:You will be working on real data science projects using live production data from one of Indias most active travel platforms. The models you build and the analyses you produce will have a direct impact on real users and product decisions. You will have the opportunity to work across all six verticals of the platform and progress from building models in notebooks to staging deployment with team support and code review.Key Responsibilities:- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns in user behavior, booking funnels, search query intent, and pricing dynamics.- Build analytical dashboards and reports for product managers and business leaders to make informed decisions.- Identify and resolve data quality issues in production datasets in collaboration with Data Engineering.- Build and evaluate ML models for classification, regression, clustering, and ranking baselines.- Implement basic feature engineering pipelines and contribute features to the central feature store.- Train NLP models for text classification, intent detection, entity extraction, and basic embedding models.- Assist in LLM pipeline experiments, including building evaluation test sets and measuring retrieval quality.- Contribute to recommendation model evaluation by running offline metrics and producing holdout analysis.- Assist in setting up A/B experiments, analyzing results, and building reproducible analysis notebooks.Qualifications Required:- 3 to 5 years of experience in Data Science, ML, or a quantitative analytical role, or a strong advanced degree with relevant project experience.- Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and SQL with readable and documented code.- Working knowledge of NLP, including text preprocessing, TF-IDF, embeddings, or basic fine-tuning LLM.- Intellectually honest with the ability to report null results and avoid overfitting noisy data.- Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent quantitative field.
