Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer at the cuttingedge Software Development team of our Digital Solutions business, you will have the opportunity to design and implement innovative software for energy products. You will work collaboratively in teams to solve technical problems and contribute to building a nextgeneration platform of software for intelligent decisions.**Key Responsibilities:**- Capture system level requirements by brainstorming with Architects, Data Scientists, Businesses & Product Managers- Identify the scope of the work, provide initial estimates, and justify them with facts- Demonstrate understanding of Agile software development lifecycle and distinguish core inputs and outputs in each cycle- Engage in technical discussions, participate in technical designs, and present technical ideas through white boarding- Work closely with peers in a fast pace technical design and development team- Provide guidance to a team of 2 to 3 developers with planning and execution, design architecture using agile methodologies such as SCRUM- Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision- Make informed technology choices after due diligence and impact assessment- Execute in a fast pace delivery mode and focus on delivering tasks to meet product release goals- Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing, and code quality automation- Possess advanced domain knowledge, customer focus, expertise in processes/methodologies, and skilled in build, release & deployment processes**Qualifications Required:**- 7 years of handson backend/frontend development in Web/Cloud application- Prior experience of implementing an application on Azure/AWS using microservices architecture; docker/containerization- Proficiency in backend development using C#, TypeScript & Node.js- Proficiency in Database (MySQL, PostgreSQL)- Handson experience in backend like Session management, caching, algorithms & data structures, secure coding, etc.- Proficiency in C#, JavaScript/Typescript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, Web Servers & RESTful Web services- Handson experience on data communication protocols like AMQP/MQTT & message brokers like RabbitMQ/Kafka etc.- Flexible to learn and develop in any language/technology/tools as per the projects needs- Deep understanding of Application and Infrastructure architecture and non-functional aspects like Performance, Scalability, Reliability, Availability etc.- Good Problemsolving skills, Collaboration, Influencing and articulation- Deep understanding and handson experience of Programming concepts: OOPS, best practices, refactoring, maintainable/reusable code, Design principles and patterns, Architecture, TDD, Unit testing, debugging, automation- Ability to break down problems and estimate time for development tasks- Graduate of Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)Join our team and be part of a company with a global reach and exciting services and clients.
