Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer at our cutting-edge Software Development team, you will be responsible for designing and programming innovative software for energy products. You will work collaboratively in teams to solve technical problems and support the mission-critical requirements of our customers. Your role will involve leading design discussions, capturing system level requirements, and providing guidance to a team of developers using agile methodologies such as SCRUM.Key Responsibilities:- Capture system level requirements by brainstorming with Architects, Data Scientists, Businesses & Product Managers- Identify the scope of work, provide initial estimates, and justify them with facts- Demonstrate understanding of Agile software development lifecycle and distinguish core inputs and outputs in each cycle- Engage in technical discussions, participate in technical designs, and present technical ideas through whiteboarding- Work closely with peers in a fast-paced technical design and development team- Provide guidance to a team of 2 to 3 developers in planning, execution, and design architecture- Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements and vision- Make informed technology choices after due diligence and impact assessment- Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing, and code quality automation- Possess advanced domain knowledge, demonstrate customer focus, and expertise in processes/methodologiesQualifications Required:- 7 years of hands-on backend/frontend development in Web/Cloud applications- Experience implementing applications on Azure/AWS using microservices architecture docker/containerization- Proficiency in backend development using C#, TypeScript, and Node.js- Proficiency in databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL- Hands-on experience in backend technologies like session management, caching, algorithms & data structures, secure coding, etc.- Proficiency in C#, JavaScript/Typescript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, Web Servers, and RESTful Web services- Experience with data communication protocols like AMQP/MQTT and message brokers like RabbitMQ/Kafka- Flexible to learn and develop in any language/technology/tools as per project needs- Deep understanding of Application and Infrastructure architecture and non-functional aspects like Performance, Scalability, Reliability, Availability, etc.- Strong problem-solving skills, collaboration, influencing, and articulation- Hands-on experience with Programming concepts: OOPS, best practices, refactoring, maintainable/reusable code, Design principles and patterns, Architecture, TDD, Unit testing, debugging, automation- Ability to break down problems and estimate time for development tasks- Graduate in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)In addition to the above, our company values diversity and individuality in the workplace.
