As a Financial Analyst specializing in Cost Accounting at HP, Inc., you will play a crucial role in leading project teams, participating in cross-functional initiatives, and driving process improvements and policy establishment. Your expertise will be instrumental in collaborating with business leaders to influence strategic decision-making and conducting complex financial analysis to achieve objectives effectively. Additionally, you will represent the business unit and the organization as needed, build productive relationships, and mentor lower-level employees.**Key Responsibilities:**- Lead and provide expertise to functional project teams and actively participate in cross-functional initiatives.- Act as an expert in guiding process improvements and policy establishment.- Collaborate with business leaders to influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope.- Perform complex financial analysis for a financial function or business, utilizing strong business understanding.- Lead and drive business initiatives, overseeing analysts across multiple sub-functions within finance.- Forecast financial results, identify opportunities for process improvement and policy development, and actively engage in their design and implementation.- Represent the business unit during cross-regional or cross-functional planning processes.- Represent the organization to external customers and clients.- Apply advanced subject matter knowledge, contribute to complex projects, and exercise independent judgment in resolving business issues and establishing policies.- Develop and build productive internal/external working relationships and provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.- Design and implement automated reporting frameworks to reduce manual processing time.- Drive process re-engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.- Implement automation and process optimization with robust internal controls, SOX compliance, and governance knowledge.**Qualifications Required:**- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.- 7-10 years of work experience in financial management, internal audit, accounting, or a related field.- Proficiency in Financial Systems, Advanced Excel, Automation & Process Optimization, Financial Data Management, Data Governance, Financial Modeling, Business Intelligence, and Financial Data Analytics.- Experience in leveraging AI tools for variance insights and anomaly detection.- Preferred certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Financial Analyst (CFA).In addition to the above, you will have the opportunity to utilize your knowledge and skills in accounting, auditing, automation, corporate finance, data analysis, economics, finance, financial analysis, financial modeling, financial planning, financial services, financial statements, internal controls, investments, key performance indicators (KPIs), process improvement, profit and loss (P&L;) management, SAP applications, and variance analysis.HP, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO) that provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and prospective employees, without discrimination based on various factors.
