Head of Data Science & AI (India) Reporting into CEO, India i-Genie is the most exciting, emerging technology platform in the consumer insights industry, upending the multi-billion-dollar consumer survey industry with modern AI and NLP techniques that gather rich data from the billions of Google Searches, social media and video posts, and product reviews online. Founded by consumer insight industry experts, we are already working with multiple blue-chip clients. i-Genie is a growing team of the most accomplished technologists and business minds in the retail and consumer insights industry and is growing rapidly with sales, engineering, data and marketing roles.In the past, i-Genie has approached Data Science from a singular perspective. With the setting up of the India office & aggressive intent to build business in India, Asia & Middle East, there is a need to adopt a Deploy vs Craft thinking. While the Deploy team will focus on delivering existing global assignments, the Craft team will focus on India priorities & also explore how India can support i-Genie globally.As part of this Craft strategy, this role leads the Data Science & AI function in India - one of i-Genies priority markets. There are two aspects of this role:Liaise with the global data science team to deploy global products in India in an agile & cost-efficient way. The global products have been developed keeping in mind large multinational CPG Clients wishing to carry out multi-country projects and are at the core of i-Genies offer & promise to Clients. But, deploying the global solutions in a market like India requires additional layers of agility & cost-efficiency. Indian Clients also require customization, and this role will also drive reasonable customization of global solutions. India is the first step as the intent is to drive i-Genies footprint into Asia as well as Middle East. The overall intent would be to reduce the time to launch to 2-3 weeks from the present 6-8 weeks and reduce the cost by 30% while retaining margins.Conceptualize & steer the development of India-relevant products & processes that enhance the current portfolio. By setting best practices in GenAI, machine learning, and NLP, it ensures that AI-driven solutions not only meet market needs but also deliver tangible business impact. The position bridges technical innovation with strategic objectives. The role will cover developing products for non-CPG & services, leveraging conversational AI, experimentation with Indian / Asian languages- to name a few. The intent is to create a vision and product roadmap to create lasting value for clients.As an aside, i-Genie is looking at India as future GCC destination. This role has the potential to head over the GCC when it happens over the next 2-3 years.Key Responsibilities and outcomes:Head of Data Science & AI (India)Own and oversee the deployment of our existing sentiment models, emotion models, and LLM best practices, ensuring they deliver accurate and actionable insights.Drive innovation in AI applications, integrating machine learning, GenAI and NLP techniques into our products, from India perspective, especially in areas not overlapping with global products.Define and implement best practices for LLMs, optimizing their use for internal and client-facing applications, with India being a focus (using India LLMs, driving agile & cost-efficient approaches)Ensure the scalability, accuracy, and efficiency of AI-driven solutions across India organization.Work closely with engineering to build robust data pipelines and deploy AI models in production.Lead research initiatives to explore new AI methodologies and their application to brand analytics.Ensure ethical and transparent AI use, balancing automation with human oversight.Line Management & LeadershipLead and mentor a team of data scientists and engineers, fostering their growth and professional development.Conduct monthly connect meetings and support career progression, providing feedback and guidance.Align team priorities with product goals and company strategy.Promote a collaborative and innovative culture, encouraging continuous learning and improvement.Build a strong roadmap for India GCCYou have:A go-getter attitude.
