Java Backend with AWS

Job Description

As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Java (Java 8/11/17). Your key responsibilities will include:- Building scalable and robust RESTful APIs- Developing microservices using Spring Boot / Spring Cloud- Writing unit and integration tests using JUnit, MockitoIn the Cloud & AWS domain, you will deploy and manage applications on AWS. You will work with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, ECS/EKS. Additionally, you will implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline / CodeBuild / CodeDeploy or Jenkins.Regarding databases, you will design and work with relational and NoSQL databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and MongoDB.In terms of Architecture & Performance, you will participate in system design discussions, optimize application performance and scalability, and implement secure coding and cloud security best practices.Collaboration is a key aspect of this role as you will work closely with frontend, DevOps, QA, and product teams. You will also participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.Your technical skills should include strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, experience with Microservices architecture, and hands-on experience with core AWS services. Additionally, a good understanding of Docker & Kubernetes (optional but preferred), REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, Messaging (Kafka/SQS), database experience (SQL & NoSQL), and knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS DevOps tools) will be beneficial.Soft skills required for this role include strong problem-solving and debugging abilities, good communication and teamwork, and the ability to work in fast-paced Agile environments.
