As an experienced and results-oriented Logistics Operations Manager at our clients rapidly growing e-commerce enterprise in Mysuru, Karnataka, IN, your role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective management of inventory, warehousing, order processing, and shipping. Your strong background in logistics management, supply chain optimization, and team leadership will be essential in driving operational excellence. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance productivity, reduce errors, and improve overall customer satisfaction. Your hands-on approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and deep understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software will be key to your success.Key Responsibilities:- Oversee all day-to-day logistics operations within the Mysuru fulfillment center, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.- Manage and optimize inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and minimizing stock-outs and overstock situations.- Implement and enforce efficient warehouse processes and procedures to maximize productivity and throughput.- Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.- Develop and manage operational budgets, controlling costs related to labor, materials, and shipping.- Implement and maintain effective safety protocols and ensure compliance with all workplace safety regulations.- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other logistics software to track inventory, manage orders, and analyze performance metrics.- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations and meet customer demand.- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and lower operational costs.- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, on-time shipment, inventory turnover, and labor productivity.- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.- Conduct regular performance reviews for direct reports and provide coaching and development opportunities.Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in logistics and warehouse operations management, preferably within the e-commerce or retail sector.- Proven experience managing a fulfillment center or large warehouse operation.- In-depth knowledge of WMS, ERP systems, and other supply chain technologies.- Strong understanding of inventory management, order fulfillment processes, and shipping logistics.- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as operational demands require.This critical role will allow you to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
