Job Description

As a Manager of Product Software Engineering at our company, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring cross-functional teams of software engineers, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Your role will involve working closely with the teams to oversee the development of web applications using .NET, Angular, PHP, and SQL. You will define and execute product engineering strategy in alignment with organizational objectives and collaborate cross-functionally with product management, design, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Additionally, you will ensure application scalability, security, performance, and reliability through sound engineering practices and drive the adoption of modern development methodologies, tools, and frameworks. You will also establish and enforce coding standards, unit tests, code reviews, and best practices, manage project timelines, resource allocation, and delivery commitments, identify technical risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Staying current with emerging technologies and evaluating their potential impact on the organization will be a part of your responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:- Lead, mentor, and grow cross-functional teams of software engineers- Work closely with the teams to oversee the development of web applications using .NET, Angular, PHP and SQL- Define and execute product engineering strategy in alignment with organizational objectives- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, design, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions- Ensure application scalability, security, performance, and reliability through sound engineering practices- Drive adoption of modern development methodologies, tools, and frameworks- Establish and enforce coding standards, unit tests, code reviews, and best practices- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and delivery commitments- Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies- Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact on the organizationQualifications Required:- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)- 12 years of progressive software development experience, including deep hands-on expertise in technologies such as .NET, Angular, PHP, and SQL- 5 years of experience in engineering leadership or management roles, including at least 2 years in a managerial capacity leading cross-functional or multidisciplinary engineering teams- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable system design- Experience building and maintaining secure, high-performance web applications- Proficiency with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and modern web technologies- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in an Agile/Scrum environment- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions- Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAdditional Details:- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies- Experience with microservices architecture- Exposure to application monitoring and performance tuning- Experience in a product-driven or SaaS environmentPlease note that the interview process at our company values authenticity and individual skills, experiences, and communication style.
