As an engineering manager at Disney Experiences, you will lead and mentor delivery teams, collaborate with tech and business teams, and be responsible for application development and delivery for multiple projects. Your key responsibilities will include:- Leading and mentoring delivery teams, including software engineers, web developers, architects, and product managers- Owning application development and delivery for multiple large projects- Collaborating with tech teams and other businesses to develop platform vision and roadmap- Presenting project statuses, concepts, and roadmaps to senior leaders- Providing technical leadership for implementation, deployment planning, process improvements, quality assurance, and more- Resolving conflicts, enforcing a culture of quality, and ensuring effective resource allocation for multiple projects- Managing project timelines, financials, and on-call response to critical operational issuesTo qualify for this role, you should have:- 8 years of development experience, with a preference for full stack development- 5 years of experience managing engineering and technology delivery teams- Knowledge and experience with scalable architectures, Java, GraphQL, NoSQL, and Event-Driven Architecture- Experience with Agile methodologies and troubleshooting skills- Experience in media, technology, or internet companies- Strong communication skills and ability to work in complex organizationsPreferred skills include experience in commerce, travel, and hospitality industries. The position requires a Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
