Senior Data Scientist (Gen AI)

Job Description

As a Generative AI Researcher at Bluevine, you will play a key role in conducting research and experimentation with large language models and generative AI techniques. Your responsibilities will include:- Conducting research and evaluating large language models and generative AI techniques to identify opportunities for addressing data science challenges.- Designing and executing experiments to fine-tune large language models or adapt foundational models for domain-specific tasks using internal datasets.- Investigating how generative AI methodologies can enhance traditional machine learning approaches in areas such as risk modeling, fraud detection, and customer insights.- Serving as a technical resource for the data science team, sharing best practices, experimental results, and emerging techniques in the generative AI domain.- Developing and assessing prompting strategies, evaluation methodologies, and benchmarking approaches to evaluate the performance and reliability of generative models.- Working closely with fellow data scientists to integrate generative AI techniques into existing analytics and modeling projects.Qualifications required for this role include:- 5 years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI, with strong analytical and experimental skills.- Experience with generative AI and large language models, including building agents, prompt engineering, or model fine-tuning techniques.- Strong proficiency in Python and Data Science Toolkit, along with extensive experience in Python-based data science tools and machine learning frameworks.About Bluevine:Bluevine is the largest small business banking platform in the U.S., providing contemporary financial solutions designed to help small business owners grow, thrive, and take control of their financial future.
