Job Description

    As a Senior Data Scientist - Vice President at Barclays, your role involves driving strategic insights from large data sets, developing predictive models, and leading cross-functional initiatives to improve business outcomes.**Key Responsibilities:**- Identify, collect, and extract data from internal and external sources.- Perform data cleaning, wrangling, and transformation to ensure quality and suitability for analysis.- Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines for automated acquisition and processing.- Design and conduct statistical and machine learning models to analyze patterns, trends, and relationships in the data.- Develop and implement predictive models to forecast future outcomes and identify potential risks and opportunities.- Collaborate with business stakeholders to add value from data through Data Science initiatives.**Qualifications Required:**- Exceptional ability to extract strategic insights from large data sets and communicate these to non-technical business stakeholders.- Experience with machine learning methods such as PCA, MDS, factor analysis, regression, choice models, cluster analysis, and more.- Strong coding skills in Python and understanding of technologies like GenAI, LLMs, and the RAG framework.- Masters or PhD in a highly numerate discipline (Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering) is desirable.- Proficiency in SQL, Tableau/PowerBI, PySpark, Hadoop, and front-end frameworks would be beneficial.The company is located in Gurugram, India.Please note that detailed information about the company was not provided in the job description.
