Job Description

    About the RoleOur client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Retail Operations Manager to lead and optimize our clients retail operations across all channels. This is a critical, remote-first position that requires a proactive leader with a deep understanding of retail best practices, supply chain management, and customer experience enhancement. You will be instrumental in driving efficiency, implementing innovative operational strategies, and ensuring seamless execution from inventory management to point-of-sale operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and possesses exceptional leadership and analytical skills necessary to guide a distributed team effectively.Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies to enhance retail performance and customer satisfaction. Oversee inventory management, stock control, and logistics to ensure optimal product availability and minimize waste. Analyze operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, marketing, and finance to align operational activities with business objectives. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and ensure supply chain efficiency. Implement and monitor compliance with all operational policies, procedures, and safety standards. Lead, mentor, and develop a remote team of operations professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Drive initiatives to improve in-store and online customer experience through operational excellence. Manage operational budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising quality or service. Requirements Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field. Masters degree preferred. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in retail operations management, with a proven track record of success. Extensive experience in inventory management, logistics, and supply chain optimization within the retail sector. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable plans. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing remote teams effectively. Proficiency in retail management software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing retail landscape and implement innovative solutions. Strong understanding of omnichannel retail strategies and their operational implications.
