Balancing hard and soft skills will be key, allowing you to respond quickly to changing business needs.Key Responsibilities:- Help grow the engineering team.- Build scalable, resilient, and performant distributed systems for data processing, reporting, and analytics.- Collaborate with engineering teams, data science, and product management to shape the direction of work and architecture.- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to drive requirements and delivery.- Take ownership of impactful initiatives and make pragmatic technical decisions.- Manage stakeholders, develop a deep understanding of advertising business needs, and enhance domain knowledge for better system and data comprehension.Qualifications Required:- 10 years of engineering experience with modern big data technologies such as Spark, Airflow, Scala, Java, Python, relational databases, etc.- 6 years of experience leading technical teams and large-scale data processing systems.- Proven experience in building, growing, and managing teams.- Subject matter expertise in advertising and data processing.- Strong understanding of data engineering, big data technologies, analytics, and data science.- Excellent communication skills.- Self-motivated with a high level of accountability and ownership.- Critical thinker and practical decision-maker.- Results-oriented mindset with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.Roku fosters an inclusive and collaborative work environment with a hybrid work approach where teams are in the office from Monday to Thursday, allowing for flexibility in remote work on Fridays.
