Job Description

As a Software Engineering Manager at M&S, you will play a crucial role in building the foundational platform for Identity across all M&S products. You will be responsible for managing the M&S Identity Platform, ensuring seamless authentication experiences for both customers and colleagues. Your role will involve collaborating with Principal engineers, product, and delivery peers to drive successful project deliveries and feature implementations.**Key Responsibilities:**- **Software Development & Architecture:** Make design and architectural decisions, develop scalable systems, and drive legacy migrations. Focus on optimizing deployment pipelines for enhanced efficiency and reliability.- **Team Management:** Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing software engineering team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Ensure balanced resource allocation and workload across projects.- **Agile Delivery:** Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Monitor project progress, risks, and dependencies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.- **Technical Leadership:** Drive the adoption of standards and methodologies for software development. Provide technical guidance and support for complex projects. Evaluate new technologies to improve engineering processes.- **Quality Assurance and Maintenance:** Establish and enforce quality standards, ensuring software products meet performance, reliability, and usability requirements.
