Software Tester Associate Consultant

Job Description

As a Software Tester-Associate Consultant in the MFT team at KGS CH, your role involves designing, developing, and executing test solutions to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications. You will collaborate closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to define test strategies, track defects, and enhance testing processes across the SDLC.Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the preparation of comprehensive test strategies, plans, and automation approaches aligned with project goals and release timelines.- Define test scope, coverage, entry/exit criteria.- Design, develop, and execute test scripts for validating application functionality across web-based applications, API, and batch processing.- Ensure adequate regression, functional, and integration test coverage.- Analyze test results, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and manage defects through closure.- Enhance, maintain, and optimize automation frameworks, scripts, and testing tools.- Participate actively in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.- Prepare and publish test execution reports, defect metrics, and quality dashboards for stakeholders.- Continuously evaluate and improve testing methodologies, automation effectiveness, and QA processes.Qualifications Required:- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA best practices, and SDLC.- Hands-on experience in web-based application testing, API testing, and batch processing validation.- Experience with test strategy creation, execution planning, and defect lifecycle management.- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.- Excellent communication, reporting, and documentation abilities.- Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.Preferred Skills:- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.- Experience with DevOps or ALM tools for test execution, reporting, and release coordination.- Exposure to Automation Anywhere or other RPA platforms.- Knowledge of scripting/programming languages such as Python or Java.- Experience with automation and testing tools such as TestNG, Playwright, or equivalent frameworks.Experience Level:Mid Level As a Software Tester-Associate Consultant in the MFT team at KGS CH, your role involves designing, developing, and executing test solutions to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications.
