As the VP, Engineering, Industries at Salesforce, you will demonstrate deep business, industry, and product knowledge to ensure customer success by effectively managing a team of Engineers and Architects. Your specialization in specific lines of business, clouds, or industries will enable you to speak the customer language and drive customer value realization. Your alignment with the cloud strategy will involve building and fostering positive relationships to support customers in their digital journey.Key Responsibilities:- Implement best engineering management and organizational development practices to scale effectively.- Build a world-class engineering team by fostering professional growth and development, encouraging cross-functional collaboration, and recruiting and retaining top talent.- Represent the Cloud in senior leadership, forming strong relationships with all local functions related to organizational success.- Drive continuous systems improvement for managing, documenting, staffing, and reviewing engineering projects and services.- Guide and mentor team members towards success, while being hands-on when necessary.Qualifications Required:- Minimum of 20 years of overall experience, with at least 10 years as a hands-on software development manager.- 6 years of engineering leadership experience in delivering world-class software products/features.- 3 years in cross-functional 2nd or 3rd level management roles.- Experience in building successful technical teams and coaching individuals in their career paths.- Ability to represent operational issues to senior leadership and dive deep into technical details when needed.- Strong prioritization skills in a rapidly changing environment, with clear communication to steer the team towards delivering high-quality service.- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Engineering.If you require assistance due to a disability when applying for open positions, please submit a request via the Accommodations Request Form.
