This is an opportunity to apply your knowledge, creativity and experience in machine automation, robotics and control systems to solve existing product problems and to help design new products to solve the existing problems.Must be a logical thinker and an expert problem solverExpert programming skills and knowledge of C/ C++, Objective- C, Python, MATLABDevelopment experience on Unix, Linux or iOS and OS X software technologiesInterest in microcontrollers, PLC, sensors, wireless communication, Computer VisionFamiliarity with path planning, motion planning, perception, vision systems, localization, mapping, control systemsFamiliarity with ROS (Robot Operating System)Should have good understanding of the automation ecosystem.Good programming skills of PLCs (Allen Bradley/ Delta/ Mitsubishi/ Schneider), Industrial PLCs, HMIs, etc.Experience in programming/ servicing KUKA/ Yaskawa/ ABB/ Fanuc arm robots.Experience with robot integration with PLC.Experience with information solutions and programming will be a plus. (Crystal Reports/ Metrics/ SQL/ VBA etc.)Expert knowledge in motion programming (servo, stepper drives etc.), pneumatics, safety devices etc.Experience with allied technologies like vision sensing, barcode/ RFID, instrumentation devices.Experience in working with machine OEMs or SPM manufacturers.Certifications in Robot Programming from OEMs like Kuka, ABB, Yaskawa will be highly preferred.Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork skillsReadiness for occasional travelOrganised working, good and thorough documentation habitsAble to make a long term commitment of 3years.Responsibilities:Should be able to translate user requirements into functional design and a technical conceptShould continuously update and develop his/ her own knowledgeContributing towards predictable delivery of products and servicesMentor team members on automationBe meticulous about documentation and maintaining a robust log of all test cases and test resultsEnsure that all tests are executed and give regular feedback to the team lead on the status of qualityUse appropriate measures and KPIs to validate and report on software qualityWork closely with the software engineering team, Product Management and Technical Operations as well as business users and Senior Management, as requiredBe a creative thinker who can quickly identify and test for functional edge cases outside of expected functionality workflow,
