Job Description

  1. Financial Focus:
Strategy & Growth - He will be responsible for partnering with the management to outline the growth strategy that would help significantly increase the revenue (turnover) of the organization. He will also be responsible for driving profitability of the various products manufactured by keeping a keen eye on the costs and its implications.Capital Requirements He is expected to interact with various financial institutions to ensure that all the short & long-term funding requirements are negotiated in a manner favourable to the organizations cause. He will also be responsible to ensure that the organization is in a positive cash-flow situation.Contribution & Cost of Production He will also actively participate in the process of product costing and closely monitor the contribution from various products / lines across the various units and ensure that they comply to the set standards/norms and there is no deviation from the same.He will also be responsible for partnering with various functions (Supply Chain) to explore avenues of reducing the financial burden on the organization (terms of payment/ efficiencies in non-core expenditures, etc.).Corporate Affairs He will also be responsible for various corporate matters as outlined by the board / executive council.Operational Focus:GAAP He will provide leadership to the accounting teams in driving effectively the standards and procedures under GAAPs that need to be complied with by the organization.Audit & Compliance He will be responsible for ensuring that all compliance as per Company Law requirements, Direct and Indirect Tax Laws requirements comply with regulations. He will also be responsible to ensure that all the legal requirements under various other Laws. Eg. FEMA etc. have been complied with. He is expected to engage with auditors to drive the highest level of compliance and ensure that there are no critical non-compliance.TaxationHe will review and support the teams driving taxation / benefits/ refunds to ensure that all notifications have been complied with and that the organization isnt exposed to any fines on account of non-compliance.Financial StatementsHe will review the Annual Financial Accounts prepared and provide inputs on the same and will support the Statutory Audit of the Financial Accounts. He will ensure that all submissions are sent in time to the Board for ApprovalMIS & Reportings He will be responsible for reviewing all reports generated (Financial/ Production / SCM/ other overheads) and present the same to the management. He will also be responsible for driving a system of broadly accepted source of data generation to ensure reduction in complexities of MIS & Reportings.New Systems & Processes He will be responsible for introducing and driving the implementation of the best practices, processes & systems across the organization. This will transcend areas across the organization (production, manpower, processes, etc.) wherein he is expected to bring in industry leading practices.Customer/ Vendor Focus:Financial Institutes/Statutory & Regulatory AgenciesHe is expected to liaison with Banks, Financial Institutes for transaction efficiencies and with various statutory authorities for meeting the requirements of assessments, and complianceProduction Functions He will partner with various production heads / functions to drive a system of accurate data capturing on costs (fixed / variable) and promote best practices on expenditure management.Agency Identification, Mandate & Monitoring He will be responsible for identifying relevant agencies (experts) in the financial & audit space to help introduce and drive some of the best practices across the organization. He is also expected to set the agenda for the various agencies and monitor their progress from time to time.Board Management He will be responsible for interacting with the Board/ Executive Council on various matters related to the financial health of the organization and brief them from time to time on the status of different initiatives impacting the financial health.Financial/ Rating Agencies He is also expected to interact with various rating agencies / fund houses/ financial analysts to promote the organizations cause to ensure that a positive image of organization is maintained.
