A completed graduate/ post grad degree in product designing, graphic designing or other relevant fields. This is an opportunity to apply your knowledge, creativity and experience in machine automation, robotics and control systems to solve existing product problems and to help design new products to solve the existing problems Be creative and have an eye for shape and colour Understand different materials and production methods Understand what customers look for in a product Be able to use drawings, 3D models or computer designs to express the creative ideas Should be accurate professional with an attention to detail Have basic to strong IT skills Be able to work out costings and budget Ability to explain to people with varying level of technical education and proficiency Basic knowledge of C/ C++, and/ or Objective- C, MATLAB Expert skills of working with Google sketchup, Solidworks, NX, Creo, Rhyno Familiarity with keyshot, Adobe illustrator, Coral, Adobe Photoshop Online portfolio is a must Expert skills of working with Hyperworks, Altair, Ansys or any other FEA analysis platform Any Prior experience or coursework in New Product Development is encouraged Any skills, relevant coursework in Graphic designing is highly encouraged Good listening and questioning skills for discussing the design briefs and understanding feedback from colleagues and clients Be persuasive and ability to sell your idea to others Must be a team player Should be accurate professional with an attention to detail Organised working, good and thorough documentation habits Good presentation and communication skills Willingness for a long term commitment of (3years). Responsibilities: Meet the clients, R&D director and YANTRA team to determine the scope of a project Working closely with the engineers, model makers, sales & marketing team and other skilled people. Understanding technology, production methods and materials (such as metals & plastics, etc.) Determine the message the design should portray Create images that identify a product or convey a message Develop graphics for product illustrations, logos, and websites Select colours, images, text style, and layout Working with in budgets and deadlines. Researching similar products and developing ideas. Developing sketches of the ideas by hand or computer and developing the most effective ideas into detailed drawings using specialist computer software. Ordering samples and/ or working models of the design. Producing reports and presenting them to the director and other relevant teams at the various stages of design process. Modifying the ideas according to the feedback received at the above- mentioned sessions.
