Description

East West Seeds(I) Pvt Ltd is one of the leading seed company in Research, production and marketing of vegetable seeds in India since more than decade. Company is increasing its wings very rapidly in Indian markets. To support its growth and expansion plan, we are looking for well qualified and competent professionals in field of Seed Technology as Seed Technologist . This would be the right opportunity for candidates having required skills and qualities in field of Seed Technology

Tasks and responsibilities include :

  1. Set up and conduct Seed enhancing trials for activities like Seed coating; Priming; Pelleting; Encrusting. Accelerated ageing; Seed vigor; Seed Dormancy
  2. Carry out germination seed vigor studies of the newly developed seed enhancing products.
  3. Maintain trial data with statistical analysis of the data.
  4. Extend all the support required for Seed Technology function.
    1. Plan; conduct & execute trials in field polyhouse for new seed enhancement solution.
    2. Planning the work for trials: Sowing; Seedling maintenance; Observation; Data analysis & data maintenance.
        3. Administrative Roles & Responsibility
      1. Monitoring workers for output of the results in lab, crop cultivation in polyhouse, etc on time.
      2. Financial Roles & Responsibility
        1. Cost effective work management, utilization of available resources for maximum output, measure return on investments made, economic usage of inputs.
        2. Working on sample testing cost analysis per crop.
        3. Contact vendors for lab field consumable procurement process and submit vendor analysis.
            4. Other Roles & Responsibility
            • Coordination with seed technology product and service providers for routine services and new value added products.
            • Closely work with East west seed technology group among sis companies.

                • Skills & Attributes:

                • Work experience in handling laboratory equipment techniques like Seed Coating machine; Seed Germinator;
                • Accelerated ageing machine; Seed Pelleting machine; Electric Conductivity Meter.
                • Knowledge and experience in Seed Enhancement techniques and QA testing like Accelerated ageing; Seed Vigor aspects; Liquid Density Separator; as well as in Priming; Seed Dormancy.
                • Good English communication skills and basic computer operational knowledge.
