Job Description

Graduate in any degree 3yrs Diploma in any stream after 12th . Certifications as per the Certification Matrix Network Fundamentals Should be able to understand / Explain scenarios & have working knowledge and be able to trouble shoot all network Protocols. Install configure & troubleshoot of Cisco Router. Routing / Switching Configure & Verify router hardware and software operation using all commands. Strong knowledge on all protocols. Wireless Engineer required to have in- depth knowledge on ACMX(optional) (Aruba Certified Mobility Expert) and ACMP Certified(Aruba Certified Mobility Professional). Engineer will be responsible to understand the design, development and implementation of wireless systems relating to network communications. Should be aware of implementing a Wireless set up using both Thin/ Thick or Instant Access Point and Mobility Controllers in a Enterprise level Infrastructure. Should know to configure a Wireless Controller according to the current network setup. Should have knowledge on Various Mobility Controllers Models and software upgrades of Controller and Access Points. Should have knowledge on Adaptive Radio Management, Spectrum Monitoring, Client Roaming and Mobility Domains. Should be able to troubleshoot and isolate both Hardware and Network related issues. Should have proficiency in isolating issues related to Wireless Network Authentication and Association and Client Related Issues. Should be proficient in checking existing Policy role design and implementation. Should be capable of gathering and understanding in- depth of each and every logs whether system log or errorlog and Syslog configuration. Should be able to add, remove, manage and troubleshoot Aruba and Cisco Controllers through AIRWAVE. Managing and troubleshooting Guest Clients through Clearpass. Can test and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. Communication Communicates in an open, and consistent manner; Can articulate his/ her needs to the manager/ team in written and oral form in order to do his/ her work. Listens and understands differing points of view. Participates in meetings Incident Management 1. Should be able to understand the defined IM Process and Supporting Procedure and Work Instructions to ensure proper Incident Detection recording, Classification, Investigation, Diagnosis, Resolution and Closure of Incidents 2. Should follow the defined Process to ensure 100% compliance w.r.t the Process as well as SLA Network Fundamentals : Understand hardware classes from multiple vendors Should be able to understand / Explain scenarios & have working knowledge and be able to trouble shoot all network Protocols. Install configure & troubleshoot of Cisco Router. WAN Topologies : Explain scenarios & have working knowledge and be able to troubleshoot the functions and operations of gateway redundancy protocols (i.e., HSRP, VRRP, NSRP and GLBP) configurations. Routing / Switching : Configure & Verify router hardware and software operation using all commands. Strong knowledge on on all protocols. Internetworking : Configure & Verify Firewalls, VPN, IDS, IPS , UTM devices hardware and software operation using all commands. Strong knowledge on on all functionalities of Plugs / policies / Public Private security authentications. Network Security : Configure & Verify Firewalls, VPN, IDS, IPS , UTM devices hardware and software operation using all commands. Strong knowledge on on all functionalities of Plugs / policies / Public Private security authentications. Tools : Basic Knowledge of Monitoring Tools, Parameters being monitored and alerting mechanism MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES Troubleshooting : Analyze problems with the service and resolve the issues, Gather information from customers either by chat or e- mail to enable effective troubleshooting, Troubleshoots and repairs hardware and software problems with desktop and laptop computers, Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), printers, digital scanners, and other network equipment, Report issues to vendor/ ISP/ carrier and follow up on updates. Escalate issues as per Escalation Matrix, Install / Uninstall various software and upgrades equipment when necessary, Monitoring and maintaining/ reducing the queue size Resolving Technical issues at level 1( Incident and Service request) Hardware and Software Management : Monitoring CPU, memory and hard disk utilization, Monitoring the event viewer and generating reports Providing New Desktop Installation and Software Installation Reports, Make team members aware of any changes or scheduled activities so that effective follow up is possible., Updating the latest anti- virus on servers and monitoring the anti- virus patches on Servers and Desktops and generating Reports, Track the assets issued to users and maintain a database report of assets Updating KB and CMDB whenever there is a need Handling Backup Activites on daily, weekly and Monthly . Generating the Reports on all Backup acitivites. Process Compliance : Gather information from vendor and customer and update the tickets regularly as per the defined process, Prepare a detailed report on the plan of action for the existing tickets for the next shift engineer (Shift Handover Report ), Folowing the various Escalation Matrix ( Vendor , Internal and Customer defined ), Ensure tickets are closed post user / customer communication, Maintains inventory of PC equipment with Asset Executive, Special focus on Power User calls, Constantly track tickets for SLA adherence and escalate on deviations as defined in the process, Comply with defined processes and update tickets with SLA Graduate in any degree 3yrs Diploma in any stream after 12th .
