PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides forward-lookingtechnical services to optimize network reliability and performance for designated key customers. Assist Senior Engineers to evaluate the customers network for performance, scalability, and security and provides recommendations to network configurations and topologies to improve operational performance and identify/ mitigate major risk areas. Partners on short-term projects such as recommendation and implementation of new Juniper software and hardware features in the customers network.
Uses professional knowledge to review and assess software defects.
Delivers technical consulting services such as technical analysis and report (Impact assessment and analysis, health check analysis, software upgrade analysis, config review, etc )
Assists the senior Engineers in conducting Juniper product health checks and product trending in order to identify potential product performance problem areas.
Review and evaluate customer network plans and assists in new feature implementation and product deployment planning.
Reviews and evaluates customer network design/ topology/ config and make configuration/topology recommendation(s) to optimize operational performance.
Follows-up on hardware or software performance trends identified by the Service Manager to develop resolutions.
Documents and maintains customer network solutions knowledge and educates other internal Juniper resources for better support experience.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Candidate should have good understanding/exposure of:
IPv4, IPv6, GRE, QoS, VRRP, STP, IPSEC, NAT
IP routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, ISIS
MPLS, Layer2/3 VPNs, Traffic engineering, RSVP
Multicast technologies - PIM, IGMP, Anycast
Data centre technologies - IP fabrics, VxLAN, EVPN
Preferred candidate will have Network automation/scripting skills such as Python, Perl, Ansible, Ruby
In-depth, demonstrated architecture knowledge of protocols service provider networks, at both network and system levels.
Expert communication and interpersonal skills.
Juniper product certifications (JNCIS/JNCIP/JNCIE) or industry equivalent strongly desired.
Qualification and Experience:
*Bachelor s degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
*Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience implementation and troubleshooting technical support of large, complex IP- Based Networks which may include multiple vendors.
