Title: Advanced Services Engineer 4 Role: Design Validation testing for Financial Services Customer. Location: Bangalore Reporting to the Customer Service Lead, the Design Validation Test Engineer role delivers high- quality solution testing and validation services for Juniper Networks products against customer requirements. This role also provides hardware and software technical support, including routine configuration assistance and troubleshooting of products and peripheral systems, for timely resolution of issues. Key role responsibilities for the Resident Engineer / SME Perform end to end solution testing against customer requirement as defined in high- level and low- level design documents. Build test labs and configurations as per customer requirements. Write high quality, detailed test plans and test reports for delivery to customers. Continuously improve testing coverage based on customer feedback and field experience. Report and resolve all customer encountered defects in testing with Juniper Engineering teams. Use professional technical expertise to identify and lead service support initiatives to improve the supportability of processes, products, and systems. Provide experienced technical support to handle customer issues escalated from JTAC Engineers. Clearly document the most complex customer issues for further escalation and improve test coverage. Execute test cases using both manual and automated frameworks and build new test cases to increase automation. Base Qualifications 7+ years of customer troubleshooting experience in technologies related to routing, switching and security Strong Unix/ Linux administration & troubleshooting skills Knowledge of writing & troubleshooting shell, bash, Python, Jenkins, and Perl scripts Layer 2 and 3 VPN/ BGP/ MPLS/ EVPN routing/ switching including VXLan and OVSDB Experience in Network Design Solution Testing and Validation. Preferable Cloud Technologies and Virtualization platform experience. Knowledge of troubleshooting web applications Excellent Engineering troubleshooting skills Excellent architecture knowledge at both network and system levels, with the highest- level certification in technical specialty Ability to research issues in defect database and develop workarounds Strong communication and interpersonal skills Bachelor or Masters degree in engineering or equivalent is desired Focal Technologies Strong Technical Experience in the following areas are desired; Knowledge of JUNOS/ Juniper Platform is highly preferred Advanced Knowledge of Routing, Switching & Firewall Good understanding of Juniper Q- Fabric/ QFX/ EX Operation & Design Good understanding of Juniper MX Operation & Design Good understanding of Juniper SRX Operation & Design Advanced knowledge of MPLS/ VPN Operation & Design Familiarity with JUNOS Space and Other Enterprise Level Management Tools The RE will be expected to develop secondary skills in other products in the Juniper product portfolio ABOUT JUNIPER NETWORKS Juniper Networks is in the business of network innovation.
