Job Description

Key Responsibility:

  • Identify opportunity areas on the Global Network and make suggestions for improvements
  • Interface with Global carriers to maintain current services levels, and work towards developing and implementing new solutions
  • Assist Sr. Network Engineers with projects and enhancements to our network
  • Troubleshoot, isolate and resolve network problems (LAN, WAN and MAN). Use appropriate tools to monitor and troubleshoot the issues
  • Assist the team with all aspects of implementing and maintaining the (Data/Voice) Infrastructure on the Global Dell EMC network
  • Perform Capacity planning on our Global WAN, make suggestions and implement solutions
  • Perform preventative maintenance (and upgrade, as required) on Vitustream infrastructure, and related peripherals to meet IT specifications
Skills Required:
  • 6+ Years of networking experience providing network support; including network analysis, troubleshooting, design, and device configuration.
  • Understanding of transport protocols, routing protocols, and security/authentication protocols at all layers of the OSI model with emphasis on TCP/IP are essential.
  • Working Knowledge with network products (switches, routers, appliances) and network protocols.
  • Knowledge of Network Management & Security concepts
  • Strong communication skills.
  • CCNA/CCNP or CCIE certification
  • Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills with the ability to determine problems and act without supervision
  • Must be self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies and skills to better assist customers
  • As a 24X7X365 organization, shift work, holidays and on-call responsibilities may be required
