This middle office team (also known as Trade Support) comprises of dedicated professionals, performing a myriad of functions, all with a common purpose: to provide front to back trade support to our IWM clients for products such as Equity, Fixed Income, Mutual Fund, Hedge Fund and Equity & Fixed Income Structured Notes. Front to back functions include trade booking, reconciliation, settlement oversight, and ad-hoc & project involvement. This role will give the candidate a significant opportunity to become a subject matter expert across a number of products under Wealth Management business context while providing daily interaction with the Asia based business unit. The role will require the candidate to work Hong Kong hours. This is a contract for 12 months within the middle office team. Potential for permanent conversion can be explored depending on staff performance.The ideal candidate should have:-At least 2-4 years experience (depending on role grade) in the financial services sector such as a middle office / trade support role. Relevant experience in cash equity, fixed income, mutual funds, hedge funds, structured notes/derivatives products will be an added advantage.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. The role will require daily phone calls with traders and IWM business unit.Superb attention to detail, accuracy & quality, with mathematical skills (PnL calculations)Strong time management and task prioritisation skills. Ability to work Hong Kong hours to ensure all deliverables are performed within required timescales before day end.Focus on risk guardianship, ensuring that issues are identified, escalated, resolved and reported on a timely basisPassion, energy and enthusiasm.
