Job Description

  • Designs, implements, owns and maintains platform Telephony services and APIs
  • Responsible for completeness of one or more SW modules in Connectivity with a specific focus on Telephony. Completeness includes technical documentation, technical upkeep with latest technology adaptations on an ongoing basis, defect fixing, technical support
  • Provides technical leadership and mentoring to individuals/teams of engineers
Required Candidate profile
  • Must have strong experience in Android Telephony
  • Strong in designing and implementing telecommunications functionalities (Radio Interface Layer) such as Call, Supplimentary Services, SMS, SIM, SAT, Network, packet services (PDP management), NITZ, video telephony including multi-RAT scenarios over 2G/3G/4G and 5G. This includes strong domain understanding of related 3GPP specifications
  • Strong in HAL that abstracts modem and other system interfaces such as USB/UART, Shared memory, SIM, DBUS, vendor specific interfaces integration
  • Strong proficiency in one or more of Javascript, C, C++ based development
