This includes performance tuning , data modeling and developing Oracle procedures / packages. A successful candidate should have strong data modeling and solid knowledge of Oracle Architecture The candidate should have strong PLSQL development experience. The candidate should have strong data warehousing knowledge. Job Responsibilities : Performance tuning of worst performing queries. PL / SQL development for high demand OLTP / reporting applications. Coordinate with business analysts to understand the requirement and develop applications with strong focus on performance. Should be able to debug application code written in PLSQL. Creating new data models based on the requirements for multiple applications. Work as an individual contributor and collaborate with multiple teams / vendors / consultants in an effective manner. Experience / Qualifications : Bachelor s degree with 6 years of Oracle / PLSQL development experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills , ability to liaise with business users and developers 4 (5- 8) years of experience in Oracle technologies Very strong in Performance tuning. Strong documentation and communication skills Exposure to unix , sybase , sql server , IBM Netezza is an added advantage. Exposure to Star Schema data warehouses and interest in Cognos reporting is an added advantage. High standard of quality , attention to detail and organizational aptitude. Willingness to learn new technical and finance skills. Desire and ability to learn quickly Positive attitude , real passion for strong work ethic , your ability to execute independently yet also maintain a strong team orientation ,
