Job Description

You are the kind of engineering manager who likes developing server-side products, end to end. You enjoy the challenge of difficult, broad, and technically deep tasks in distributed computing. You love working collaboratively with your team, and equally love owning and driving your own tasks and projects.

  • 12+ years of experience designing and developing highly scalable, distributed applications, products and services
  • 5+ years of experience managing a team of highly skilled engineers
  • Strong Experience building Microservices using Java
  • Evaluating and leveraging new technologies in the product architecture.
  • Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, concurrent programming
  • Experience with AWS Offerings like DynamoDB, S3, EKS
  • Significant design and Architecture experience (Enterprise Software is a plus)
  • Discipline for writing unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
It is a huge plus if you have:
  • Built products from the ground and are able to communicate in greater detail
  • Experience bringing a product to the market in the data or monitoring spaces
  • Knowledge of Big data technologies and Docker/Kubernetes based deployment architectures
About the Team/Role:This position is for Senior Engineering Manager for our Synthetic Monitoring product that enables our customers to ensure their websites and APIs are highly available, and perform well so that their users have desired user experience. The product uses our fleet of intelligent cloud agents across various locations around the world to monitor Business Transaction performance from browser to back-end, and is built out as an infinitely scalable and highly available platform leveraging latest cloud technologies. The role would require you to:
  • Lead a team of strong engineers to deliver on complex business features end to end
  • Drive product roadmap and strategic direction
  • Architect and design product features for scale and maintainability
  • Work on multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities within an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Understand production systems, deployments and contribute to availability of SaaS Offerings
  • Hiring world class talent cutting across technology roles
  • Create a collaborative environment across geographies
