Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual within the Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) Planning & Analysis (P&A) team, providing direct support to the CCB CFO. The team provides financial analyses and perspective to senior management to help support decision-making, and manages the traditional financial planning work-streams, such as the monthly forecast process, quarterly earnings reporting, and annual budget and capital stress testing analytics.The candidate should be able to manage and deliver on monthly, quarterly, and annual requests, and quickly define views that prompt decisions by Senior Leaders. The role requires good organizational, analytical skills, and presentation skills, and a strong candidate would possess technical abilities and flexibility. The candidate should have experience in providing financial analysis that highlights key drivers and dependencies impacting results and the overall health of the organization.Successful candidates should have about 5+ years of experience in financial analytics. The candidate should have excellent communication and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and enjoy handling complexity. Our team must be agile in supporting a dynamic business, and we are looking for people who thrive in this work style. The primary focus will be preparing, consolidating, reviewing, and analyzing results and providing updates to CCB Management and the Operating Committee. The team also assists with coordinating various deliverables across all Sub-LOBs within CCB (Consumer Bank, Business Banking, JPMWM, Chase Auto, Home Lending, and Credit Card).In this role, you will be working on projects with high visibility, and you will gain great exposure to multiple businesses within CCB. You will work closely with LOB PMOs, Finance teams, CFOs, CROs, and Finance/Risk leads. You will have the opportunity to learn each business, and help assess if outputs make sense, articulate their status and actions, and help identify trouble areas.Role and Responsibilities:
• Delivering value-added financial reporting and analysis, and assisting with strategic direction and decision making
• Creating executive-level presentations that summarize results at various levels of the organization, including each line of business and consolidated CCB-level
• Performing variance analysis to understand the key drivers of the results and explaining changes from prior forecasts/budgets
• Driving improvements & design processes across LOBs
• Helping design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver the financial results to senior management
• Managing and prioritizing the requests and deadlines within the P&A calendar
• Enhancing controls and streamlining processes, introducing automation where possible
• Establishing and developing business relationships across lines of business
• Participating in and helping build upon the broader team s people agenda
Skills / Competencies Needed/Education Qualifications:
• Master s in finance or economics / CA / CFA / MBA / PGDBM from top Tier institute is required
• 5+ years of post-qualification experience in planning and analysis
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel) and Essbase
• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools is an advantage (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau)
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
• Inquisitive, enthusiastic, diligent, and capable of challenging peers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and partners from a variety of business functions
• Team-player with strong interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated self-starter, keen attention to detail, and work well under pressure and tight deadlines
