Job Description

IntroductionIBM Application Consultants work directly with our clients on key initiatives. You will have the opportunity to build an in-depth understanding of their business issues and implement organizational strategies that drive adoption of change. We are looking for experts who can build credibility and trust with our clients and provide knowledge that addresses individual and unique business needs.Your Role and Responsibilities The Senior Technical Consultant typically works as a lead on design and development issues. The Senior Technical Consultant is responsible for helping to ensure that proposed extensions and modifications are designed and implemented in a manner that appropriately utilizes the IBM SPM Business Application Suite. This professional often acts as a point of contact on site for development-related questions and issues that arise which cannot be addressed by the client or integration partner. Working within the development team, the Senior Technical Consultant frequently performs complex development and helps others create extensions in a manner that adheres to the needs for future upgradeability. Primary Responsibilities

  • Project technical architecture lead based on the IBM SPM Business Application Suite, working directly with the client or as a member of the systems integration team.
  • Develop a solid understanding of the functional requirements for the project and how these map to IBM SPM
  • Works with the Senior Technical Architect/Technical Architect to design the optimum solution for providing these within IBM SPM Software
  • Works with the project team to ensure that the project technical standards are properly applied
  • Acts as a technical reference for IBM SPM-related development, testing, and deployment knowledge
  • Works as part of a team to implement business requirements using the IBM SPM Business Application Suite in a timely, performance-centric and maintainable manner
  • Works closely with the technical team, client, and systems integrator, to design specific functional areas of the customer s requirements.
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with the project team
  • Thorough knowledge and experience of working with Oracle or DB2 and SQL
  • Proficient in UML
  • Knowledge of J2EE
  • Familiar with and references design patterns
  • Experience with the UNIX and NT operating systems
  • Good knowledge of Rational Rose
  • Knowledge of WebSphere
  • Good knowledge of all aspects of IT systems development
Required Technical and Professional Expertise The Senior Technical Consultant typically has three years of experience in the design principles of large-scale client/server transaction processing solutions. The Senior Technical Consultant has sound knowledge and experience using some or all of the tools and technologies used to build IBM SPM, including but not limited to Java, J2EE, EJB, and Rational Rose. The individual will have solid understanding of application design principles. The Senior Technical Consultant will also have a strong understanding of IBM SPM s Technical Architecture and knowledge of the functional capabilities of IBM SPM including batch, online, rules, and workflow. Specific skills include:
  • Minimum 8 years of Curam Implementation experience. Extensive IBM SPM experience and technical certifications.
  • Specialised and extensive knowledge on Case Management, Eligibility & Entitlement, Financials and Universal Access modules.
  • At least three years of Java programming experience
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Ability to direct and motivate technical teams
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Solid IBM SPM experience
  • IBM SPM technical certification.
