As an Application Developer, the candidate will be required to provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications within mature technology environments. The role will involve working with globally distributed technology teamResponsibilities: The day-to-day activities of the role will encompass the full project lifecycle, including:Design, implement, test and maintain major server-side components and web applications.Implement back-end components of an n-tier application, including data model, data access objects, and application logic.Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solutionParticipate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply with architectural standards in all phases.Document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/enhance software application modulesParticipate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issuesResearch and prototype new technologies as appropriate.

• Ensure quality and completeness of the product through unit testing, documentation and maintenance as appropriate

• Responsible for design, development and deployment for various Regulatory Feeds
• Responsible for ensuring horizontal scalability to be embedded into the design of every component to the extent possible
• Responsible for collaborating and influencing various stake holders, upstream and downstream, to ensure on time development delivery of enforced regulation

• Solid design, coding, testing and debugging skills.
• Hands on experience and expertise in Java and SQL.
• Must have working knowledge of commonly used design patterns.
• Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
• Must be result oriented and self-starter
• The following technical skills are required:
• SQL Experience writing and debugging stored procedures and scripts
• Java, Tomcat, J2EE
• Open source web technologies like Apache, Tomcat, Spring, etc.
• Source Code management techniques/tools for software management. Knowledge of release management.
• UNIX shell and shell scripting
• Build tools like Jenkins/Maven/Nexus
• Test tools like JUnit, Cucumber
• Performance analysis and tuning across system boundaries
• Working experience in any PAAS cloud services would be hugely beneficial
