Job Description

We are currently recruiting for Application Engineers to join Lanika Solutions. We are looking for bright, highly- motivated individuals who excel in front of customers combining technical knowledge. Our Application Engineers must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users; identify all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process; and establish and maintain strong relationships through the sales cycle. If you have an Engineering degree, are self- motivated, have the ability to prepare and deliver compelling demonstrations and presentations, and have proven success at selling business solutions in a complex selling environment, we invite you to submit your resume! Experience with mathematical software such as Maple or MATLAB are a definite asset. Required Skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Experience with Windows, Macintosh and UNIX operating systems
  • Customer service skills and ability to work in a team
  • Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Science or Engineering
  • Knowledge of Maple an asset
Experience and Qualifications The successful candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:
  • A university degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with mathematical software, such as Maple or MATLAB.
  • Experience with simulation environment, such as Simulink, Dymola, or SPICE.
  • Strong communication skills
  • 2 years experience is highly desirable but we encourage those with less experience and new graduates to apply.
ldquoNice- to- haverdquo Skills and Qualifications While not essential for consideration for this role, the following qualifications are considered assets for prospective candidates
  • Software development using one of the following languages: C, C , C#, Java, Fortran, Maple, Matlab, and LabVIEW.
  • Familiarity with multiple operating systems, especially Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux
