This role reports to the Applications security and compliance center Manager and will be working in collaboration with the applications security and compliance regional managers and other IT specialists, as well as the Product Security Office to train in Schneider Electric security policies, processes and tools. Responsibilities The Applications Security Specialist will work with project teams to ensure applications meet strict security policies.Understanding project deliverables and application detailsRunning automated and manual security checks such as penetration testing to determine if applications meet Certification guidelinesPropose mitigation steps for identified risks and threatsProviding recommendations from a security perspective based on understanding of application and results of checksWorking with the Product Security Office as well as the CISO team to keep up to date with IPO standards, policies and tools Requirements for Applications Security Specialist Behaviors and Competencies The Applications Security Specialist must demonstrate mature behaviors including:Strong written and verbal International communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate with technical staff, as well as project teamsKeeping pace with standards and technologies related to security Education and Training Essential BE or MS or MCA Computers Science or Information Technology Desirable M. Tech Computers Science or Information TechnologyEthical Hacking Certifications (CEH) or similar Skills Collaboration/TeamworkCommunications (Written and Oral) Interpersonal Skills Applications Development & Delivery Security Application Design KnowledgeThe Applications Security Specialist should have in-depth knowledge and experience of the following:Expertise in both professional and open source tools such as Nessus, MetaSploit, Backtrack and Kali or othersIn depth understanding of Information Security in areas such as threats and vulnerabilities, risk assessment and mitigation, security policy and security management process Experience Essential 6-10 years of experience in IT security5-8 years of experience in technical threat vulnerability assessments and ethical hacking3-4 years of experience in conducting penetration test of web, mobile applications (iOS, Android), API, infrastructure etc. Desirable Familiarity with a variety of tools related to ethical hacking and penetration testing, *BE - Computer Science
