Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and ongoing leadership for a team of application security analysts
  • Manage headcount, deliverables, schedules and costs, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated, and goals, objectives, timelines and budgets are met in accordance
  • Ensure high-quality and time bound delivery of assigned tasks by team members
  • Work with cross-geo teams in ensuring effective handover of ongoing tasks
  • Work with Technical Account Managers for effective resolution of escalations by customers
  • Resolve impediments encountered by team in day-to-day operations
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions
  • Be actively involved in technical discussions and add value with his / her experience
  • Assist team members in setting objectives and prepare competency improvement plans
  • Guide team members by providing appropriate opportunities to achieve their objectives and improve competencies to help them grow in their career
  • Provide people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching and career development
  • Closely observe performance of team members on deliverables and competencies; provide timely and appropriate feedback

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Computer Science / ECE / IS / IT streams
  • Overall experience: 10+ years in Java / .Net / C++ software development
  • People Management experience: 2+ years

Mandatory Skills:

  • Knowledge of various types of security vulnerabilities and vulnerable code
  • Strong code inspection skills to validate security issues identified by Static Code Analyzer AND/OR Familiarity with web vulnerability analyzers such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, AppScan
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team building, and conflict resolution
  • Advanced project management skills including time risk management, resource prioritization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, out-of-the-box thinking
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and influence skills
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills
  • Strong communication skills (e.g. written, verbal, presentation); mastery in English
  • Development experience with Java / .Net / C++ and client server architecture
  • Understanding of web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, XML and DOM
  • Self-driven and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of Fortify SCA
  • Knowledge of Fortify WebInspect
  • Understanding of application security concepts (ex. OWASP/SANS)
