Job Description

The MotionAuto Application Specialist supports the MotionAuto development team by collaborating with program management on specification/use-cases,providing domain expertise to development staff, testing the product to meet usability and robustness expectations and interacting with field staff and customers as needed.Duties & Responsibilities: Work with Program Management to:

  • Understand release content and roadmap for the product; work with development to accomplish it
  • Jointly create software specifications and use-cases for planned capabilities
  • Plan and execute internal and external testing events
Work with Software Development to:
  • Communicate software specifications and use-case requirements to developers via documents, presentations, and meetings
  • Act as customer during development by testing new features, giving feedback to developers and iterating with developers to satisfy customer requirements
  • Approve feature merges to product mainline
  • Test pre-release code against specifications to ensure implementation is usable and of high quality
  • Assist software development with test plans and test automation efforts
Work with other Altair teams and customers to:
  • Answer support queries and resolve issues as required
  • Interact with business development and customers to understand and gather customer requirements.
  • Present new features to business development, applications engineers, and customers as needed
Skills:
  • Expertise using multi-body software to simulaton and analyze vehicles with rubber tires
  • Ability to use software and identify its strengths and shortcomings from a usability perspective
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good knowledge of vehicle dynamics
  • Experience using HyperWorks products highly desired
  • Experience working with cross-platform CAE solver applications on Windows and Linux/Unix systems
  • Experience in Finite Elements is useful but not necessary
