Reporting to the Manager , Content , theAssessment Specialist is responsible for assisting in the creation , alignment ,delivery and maintenance of content for PowerSchool products (i.e. PowerSchool s formative assessment item bank).Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential duties andresponsibilitiesinclude the following.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enableindividuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Research and share knowledge of state , national , and global academic standardsWork collaboratively with assessment specialists and item writers to provide detailed and timely feedback forcontent creation based upon best practices for assessment item developmentDevelop , follow , and/ or deliver item/ assessment development plans aligned to state and national academicstandardsComplete bias and sensitivity reviewsAssess and maintain content developed by PowerSchool and/ or third partiesDevelop and deliver content-related professional development to staff and clients (as deemed necessary)Respond to clientinquiries , comments , and suggestionsParticipate in professional development activitiesComplete other assigned duties as necessaryQualificationsTo be considered for and to perform this job successfully , an individual must be able to perform each essential duty andresponsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge , skill and/ or abilityrequired.Qualifications include:Bachelor sor Master sDegree in K-12 education , preferred2-5years experience teaching and/ or developing assessments , preferredSoundknowledge of assessment item developmentStrong familiarity with subject specific matterThoroughunderstanding of Bloom s Taxonomy and Webb s DOKUnderstanding of instructional and assessment processesExcellent organizational and communication skillsMicrosoft Word and Excel proficiency , general computer literacyAble to cope with strict time management requirementsAble to work cohesively with a teamAble to follow and complete directives in a timely mannerAble to meet/ or exceed expectations of tasks performedAble to be efficient and organized while working on multiple projects simultaneouslySelf-evaluation and motivation tendencies toward expanded growth and quality control,
