Job Description

  • Organize and track all invoices received for the Private Equity Funds
  • Review invoices for services rendered and allocate expenses to appropriate Private Equity Funds
  • Liaise with vendors and the Private Equity Group throughout the expense process
  • Coordinate with the custodian and internal accounts payable team in paying vendors by scheduling checks and/or wires
  • Diligently track all payments and expenditures by categories and funds
  • Confirm payments to vendors with custodian and internal accounts payable team
  • Prepare analyses of accounts and produce senior management level reports
  • Collaborate with the tech team and internal partners to improve the expense payment process
  • Ensure all expenses flow through the funds trial balances and financials appropriately
  • Review of quarterly and annual financial statements (and footnotes)
  • Review of trial balances, management fees calculations, and carried interest calculations
Skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • A strong understanding of Private Equity expense processing/allocations.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and decision making abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a deadline oriented environment.
  • Ability to think about processes and impacts in a non-linear fashion.
  • Detail oriented including strong documentation skills.
  • Desire to roll up your sleeves and work independently and as a team player.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and technical environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
  • At least 1 - 3 years of previous Private Equity accounts payable/expense processing experience or other relevant financial services experience.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently as well as be able to effectively work in a team.
