Job Description

    Risk Management is an independent function of JPMorgan Asset Management (JPMAM) and has dedicated teams, with separate reporting lines from the Asset Management business. Key responsibilities include: Assist in monitoring and reporting investment risk on an independent basis. Oversight conducted at the level of strategy and fund/account level. Assist in investigation of fund/account threshold excesses as part of the threshold monitoring framework, including monitoring and analysis of:
      • Stress Testing
      • Fund liquidity risk (asset vs liability and investor concentrations)
      • Global Exposure for funds on VaR
      • Leverage
      • Performance
      • Carry out relevant investigation and escalation of limit/threshold excesses
    • Assist in the maintenance of procedures and Risk Management Processes
    • Supervise the production, distribution, and accuracy of recurrent and event driven risk reports
    • Contribute to development, enhancement, and periodic review of analytics, risk assessment methodologies, and reporting capabilities
    • Fund analysis and market background for weekly AM CRO meeting
    • Assist in analysis of topics for Quarterly Risk Review with senior management
    • Assist with analysing new business initiatives, including fund launches and ensure risk requirements are met
    • Prepare risk management reports for Conducting Officers, Board of Directors and regulators.
    Skills/qualifications
    • Verbal and written communication and presentation skills demonstrate the potential to develop the ability to present the risk exposure and the appropriate risk management to clients, boards, internal groups and regulators
    • Analytical skills and the ability to understand complex issues
    • Prepared to undertake CFA or CAIA exams
    • Ability to act on own initiative and fulfil objectives with minimum supervision.
