Job Description

    POSITIONInformation Security Assistant ManagerREPORTS TOOperational HeadJOB OVERVIEW
    • Maintain essential IS operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
    • Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative
    • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software.
    • Track and maintain hardware and software inventory.
    JOB DESCRIPTION
    • Plan, implement, monitor and upgrade security measures for the protection of the organizations data, systems, and networks.
    • Respond to all system and/or network security breaches.
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IS.
    • Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software.
    • Participate in the change management process.
    • Test and identify network and system vulnerabilities and create counteractive strategies to protect the network.
    • Identifying vulnerabilities in our current network
    • Monitoring network usage to ensure compliance with security policies
    • Keeping up to date with developments in IT security standards and threats.
    • Collaborating with management and the IT department to improve security
    • Documenting any security breaches and assessing their damage.
    • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues.
    • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IS staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IS infrastructure.
    • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
    • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
    • Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
    • Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels and make recommendations for improving the IS infrastructure.
    • Take cares of Vendor Management.
    • Should have Strong knowledge of Firewall Sophos
    JOB REQUIREMENTS
    • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
    • 3-4 years of experience working in IT operations.
    • Experience leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
    • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
    • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
    • Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize.
    • Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices
