Job Description

The EPS Reporting Associate is responsible for ensuring that EPS is reported in an accurate and timely manner, while consistently maintaining and improving existing controls, while working in cohesion with the EPS Functional LeadKey aspects of the role include:

  • Learning the existing EPS process from CFR New York, and assisting in transferring EPS production to CFR India in a controlled manner.
  • Performing the monthly EPS calculation.
  • Acting as primary preparer for certain aspects of the EPS calculation.
  • In partnership with the EPS Functional Head, managing:- Quarterly and annual reviews of EPS by PWC;- Annual EPS technical accounting reviews with Corporate Accounting Policies.
  • Working with the EPS Production Lead to enhance existing EPS accounting and controls documentation including:
    • Identifying and eliminating documentation gaps.
    • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures
    • Where appropriate, developing flowcharts to identify key processes, risks, controls and gaps, and relationships to EPS accounting requirements.
    • Assisting in researching and response to EPS variance and review analytical questions.
    • Develop strategies to automate the current EPS user tool ( UT ), which is a complex excel spreadsheet, with an eventual goal of UT elimination.
    • As part of the EPS Function, partnering with other areas of the Firm involved with EPS to ensure success (e.g., HR Compensation & Benefits, HR Accounting, etc.).
    • Implementing the simplification of EPS data collection and calculation, resulting in a more stable and less time-consuming process.
Candidates for this role should possess the following characteristics:4-6 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience Qualified Chartered Accountant or a Master s degree in Finance/Accounting Strong interpersonal and communication skills ability to articulate needs and understand requirements Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge of MS Access and/or Sharepoint a plusControl/documentation background/mindset Ability to work independently and lead by example Strong analytical skills and ability to proactively identify and resolve issues Open to working in EMEA / NA shift and should be able to deliver to tight deadlines ,
