The team is accountable for the project delivery of a strategic, multi-year initiative to transform our data distribution platforms, in which this employee will play a key role. This person will focus on the people side of change, including modifications to business processes as it relates to systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. You will focus on producing key deliverables in the analysis, design, and implementation phases of the project. The person should be able to work independently, develop a deep understanding of the business processes, rules, as well as understanding the technologies and solutions that support them.Duties:

  • Day-to-day operations:
    • Provide technical solutions, consulting and analysis for data inconsistences between Morgan Stanley systems and external vendor systems
    • Partner with vendor(s) for data issues tracking, issue handling and risk reporting
    • Partner with HR and HRIT teams to review functional specifications for ongoing changes made to the data ecosystem
    • Partner with HR Data Governance teams to execute on and implement policies related to data quality and sensitive data documentation and monitoring
  • Project management:
    • Engage with stakeholders, inclusive of internal team and external vendors, through interviews, working group sessions and process workshops to gather and develop use cases and process workflows
    • Conduct fit-gap analysis for existing data consumers and vendor reporting products against requirements
    • Partner with system owners to develop implementation solutions for changes to existing data structures or business processes and establish meaningful traceability between related requirements
    • Partner with IT and system owners to design testing strategy and write test cases for new system functionality
    • Maintain and communicate project plan progress, issues, and risks. Report status and escalate issues to leadership

  • 3+ years of project-based, organization change, or process management methods experience
  • 3+ years of experience in all aspects of business analysis function including business process mapping, requirements gathering, functional design and testing
  • Must be able to be work effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities; proven ability to work in a team environment with the ability to operate independently
  • Ability to communicate clear, concise directives and solicit information from stakeholders at various levels of the organization
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and manage deadlines; attention to detail and critical thinking is a must
  • Aptitude for learning new systems and technologies
  • General knowledge of end-to-end project management lifecycle and/or Agile methodologies
  • Strong experience with MS Excel (proficient in the use of functions, macros, pivot tables) and PowerPoint
  • Workday, SAP Business Objects and TBA experience a plus
