We need you to help us do this.Why this role mattersThe purpose of this role is to Understand the Telephony design, Lead migration calls, Support implementation team during change window, Collaborate with multiple migration team involved and document all technical activities related to the BT HCS migration. The individual will act as the owner for migration related activities for the sites/customer assigned and will also interact with engineers from other technology domains. This roles is for BT s global customers and may require to work in different shift timings based on customers location and downtime provided.What youll be doingKey responsibilities :-Migrating Customer s On-prem telephony solution to BT Cloud based telephony solution.Must work in collaboration with other BT teams, vendors and partners to identify and rectify issues and suggest solutions that provide tactical and long-term solutions.Engineers must also play an active role in reviewing working environments and providing suggestions on how a configuration can be standardized.They are further responsible for understanding how processes can be improved.Must plan changes and acquire necessary approval as per migration process outlined.Must also coordinate with their teams and complete site audits for sites migrating.Must troubleshoot Voice over IP issues and issues with other services such as Extension mobility, CTI, Hunt Group, Soft Key Template, Phone Button Template and Voicemail but not limited to this. Engineers must be able to resolve issues related to the functionality of Cisco IP TelephonyMust troubleshoot , CUC, CUXAC, CER, Gateway, CUBE, SIP/SBC calls , Expressway.Must troubleshoot 3 rd party integration issues with BT Hosted IP telephony solution.They also must create detailed documentation and deliver this to support departments.Must provide on-call operational level support for all facets of IP telephony hardware and software.Further must deliver proof of concepts for emerging technologies.They additionally must make recommendations and deliver them to both design and management teams.Must be part of a multi-discipline design team that assists in capacity planning.Must provide technical support and examine the root causes of problems relating to snags during and after migration .Must be willing to learn and use team approved tools during migration and during end to end project delivery life cycle.Well also need to see these on your CVSkills/Experience:Main focus is Functional Operational Objectives/Technologies.Understands business results and projects involving multi-functional teams.Understanding of relevant business issues and the organisation s operating procedures and can connect these to work priorities.Able to explain difficult concepts to a variety of audiences, tailoring the information to the appropriate level.Able to create informal networks with key contacts outside own area.Can build an environment that supports co-operation and cohesiveness among the work team and with other areas within the organisation.Great communication skills to drive migration calls, UAT calls and Data collection calls.Telephony products Knowledge required.Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)Cisco Unity (CUC)Cisco Unified IM & Presence (CUIM&P)Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS)Cisco Unified Border Element (SP Edition) (CUBE-SP)CME/Voice Gateway/SRST/SIP/H.323/MGCP, CER, CUXAC, 2rd party integrationGood to haveCisco Unified Communications Domain Manager (CUCDM)Vision OSS (VOSS) or Cisco HCS.Certification/QualificationCCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)CCVP (Cisco Certified Voice Professional) now called CCNP Voice ( Added Advantage but not mandatory )CCIE Collab ( Added Advantage but not mandatory )Qualifications:Typically engineering/science degree.May have obtained some appropriate recognised current accreditation to an external professional body and/or industry standardEligibility Criteria:As per IJP GuidelinesIf you have an active PIP/Disciplinary sanctions then you cannot apply for a role internally for the duration of that sanction.
